Founder & Managing Member
Eric Wortman is the Founder and Managing Member of TrueNorth Council, a specialty governance and advisory platform for investment managers.
Previously, Eric was a Partner, COO, CFO and CCO at Stable, a leading GP Seeder. At Stable, Eric was responsible for overseeing the firm's operational, financial, compliance and governance programs, as well as its operating partner platform efforts supporting general partners with their firm launches. During his time at Stable, Eric oversaw multiple product launches during a period of significant growth and served as operating partner to dozens of new GP launches across public and private markets. Eric also spent several months directly supporting a portfolio company with their launch of a control equity platform.
Prior to Stable, Eric was a Managing Director for AllianceBernstein's Investment Management business, a cross-asset class third-party multi-manager investment platform. In this role he managed operations and infrastructure, governance, reporting, operational due diligence and product development efforts. At AB, Eric also served as Director of Strategy and Transformation for AB's Fixed Income Alternative Investment Operations team, designing and directing change initiatives within AB's Fixed Income business. Prior to AB, Eric served as a Senior Associate at Rothstein Kass, conducting audit engagements of investment managers.
